About Elizma

Elizma (Myburgh) Venter has created a life shaped by the love of wine and has been working in the wine industry since 1995. In this period she spent an informative 10 years in Brussels in Belgium, where she started her own wine consulting business, sharing her passion for wine with people from all over the world.
Elizma has obtained the Diploma in Wine & Spirits from the internationally accredited WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), which offers wine courses in more than 70 countries worldwide, and the title Weinakademiker, awarded to WSET Level 4 graduates who have successfully completed a thesis and viva voce exam from the Austrian Wine Academy. She is also a WSET qualified Educator and has lectured in Belgium for WineWise and in South Africa and Mauritius for the International Wine Education Centre (IWEC). Elizma has also lectured at Stellenbosch University and the Sommelier Academy of South Africa.
Amongst other accolades, Elizma was a taster for Vino Magazine in Belgium and has judged for Veritas, the Platter Guide 5 Star wines and SA Top 100 wines.
She has recently registered Taste & Trace in Abu Dhabi after following her husband to the UAE, to continue offering wine education and wine tasting events, while sharing her passion and love for wine.
